MBL Radialstrahler speakers in the Sensorium showroom

How It Sounds.
How It Feels.

Founded by a professional trumpet player with a music degree from Harvard, Sensorium began by building superlative entertainment systems. Music should sound enjoyable and plausibly realistic — never etched and analytical. Dynamic, never muffled. Never distorted or painful.

The Art & Science of Sound

We design audio and video systems the way a musician listens — not by specifications on a page, but by how it makes you feel in the room. Every system is evaluated in our showroom before it goes into your home.

From the founder

“Our principal mission is to create the best multi-sensory experience possible. The experience should simulate a live, unreinforced soundscape.”

Best Sound at the Show

2013 New York Audio Show

In partnership with MBL North America, Sensorium created a 7.1 surround-sound experience with seven MBL Radialstrahler speakers, four JL Audio Gotham subwoofers, Sony 4K projection, and a 115" Screen Innovations Black Diamond screen.

The result: ticketed, reservation-only 45-minute immersive demos with lines stretching down the hall. Awarded “Best Sound at the Show” by Stereophile Senior Editor Michael Fremer.

Technology That Disappears

The best audio and video systems are the ones you never see. We design technology to be visually absent — until the moment you want it.

Soundcasting

Speakers that cannot be located by ear. Ordinary objects — walls, ceilings, furniture — transformed into sound sources using vibration technology.

Hidden Video

Motorized folding TVs, cabinet-integrated displays, and rotating art-to-TV panels. Your media appears when you want it and vanishes when you don’t.

Software Modes

One system, three experiences — switch between distributed background music, focused concert soundfield, and full surround sound, all via software.
